The Art of Adorning / Annual Bead Bazaar
Always on the 4th Saturday in April - 10 AM until 4 PM
The Bead Society of Orange County hosts an annual Bead Bazaar each
spring. This event highlights creators,
importers and distributors of historic and contemporary beads along with
hand made adornment, fabrics, buttons and artifacts. The Bead Bazaar is
free to the general public and is held on-site at the
Bowers Museum of Cultural Art.

Nooria Farhad, Nomad Style
Nomad Style is the largest importer of Afghan textiles, nomad
crafts from Afghanistan, Afghan classic fashions, ethnic fabrics, embroideries and one
of a kind dresses from Afghanistan on the West Coast, USA. Nooria also designs wedding
(nikah) dresses inspired by the styles of Afghanistan as well as one of a kind dresses
for special occasions using only the finest Indian and Thai silk,and authentic embroideries
of the Pashtun, Baluch (Beluchi), Uzbek, Turkoman and Hazara peoples of Afghanistan.
Nooria considers herself a guardian of the classic tribal culture of Afghanistan and South Asia
and collects hard to find tribal and hard to find ethnographic items. She then restores and
cleans them and offers them to collectors and Afghan and western women of sophistication
and good taste at reasonable prices.
