Tibetan history is characterized
by a special dedication to the
Buddhist religion, both in the
eyes of its own people as well
as for the Mongol and Manchu
peoples. Jewelry has traditionally
been an important part of
Tibetan daily dress. It is
believed, jewels put people in
touch with deities, and protect
them from the many hazards
of life in their rugged and
treacherous land. You will see
some really spectacular Tibetan
items at the Art of Adorning.
